Exciting New Features in Leavetrack - Fully Customisable Leave Tracking

We are thrilled to announce a major upgrade to Leavetrack, bringing highly customisable leave tracking to your fingertips! Whether it's holiday, sick leave, or any other type of leave, you now have complete control. This upgrade will go live soon, and you’ll see an announcement within Leavetrack when it’s ready.

What is Changing in How We Track Leave?

Until now, Leavetrack limited holiday entitlements to a single "main holiday" leave type. You could set limits, and any leave request beyond the allowance would be automatically rejected. This worked well for holiday tracking but left little flexibility for other leave types.

With this update, you can now apply custom policies to any leave type! This means you can:

Set different policies for various locations like the UK and the US.
Apply a consistent global sick leave policy across your entire organization.
Offer unique leave types like marriage leave, volunteer days, or even study leave—customised for each employee or location.

And the best part? Leavetrack remains as simple as ever. You can continue managing employees individually, or effortlessly automate leave allocation for all new hires by location, office, or department. For example, employees in your London office can automatically receive:

28 days’ annual leave,
60 days’ sick leave, and
1 day for getting married!

What Do I Need To Do?

If you’re happy with how things are, no action is required. We’ll handle the upgrade, seamlessly converting your current holiday entitlements into the new system. The only noticeable change? You’ll now manage allowances from the new Allowances tab in the employee record.

To fully unlock the power of these new features, ensure your employees are correctly assigned to Locations. Then, create and apply your custom leave policies to each location. We’ve made it easy with this short video tutorial to walk you through the process.
